ASB Getwise

This morning Gary from the ASB Get wise came to Room13 and talked about saving our money.Gary said that he bought a new car that is very flash and he did not use it that much so he decide that he was going to cell the car for 45,000 dollars and got a new car that was 13,000 dollars and that he will save the 32,000 dollars in his bank.

Gary asked as a question,the question was how many ways that we could get money Wisely and some money wisely.We came up with 23 different ways how to get money.Two of them were you could cell food and lemon drinks and having a garage sail.

May Road School Fun Run

May Road School Fun Run

Last week on Friday we went down to our old eating area and we did our school fun run.We had the blow up balloon.

First we all let the juniors do their Fun run race.Every they started everyone was screaming and parents and teachers.We first started from the year 2 girls,year 2 boys,year 1 girls,year 1 boys,year 0 girls and year 0 boys.

After the juniors and some of the Rata team it was our turn.We had a big area to run.When we were starting we were already tired and need lots of water.First we let the 2 lappers run they did well then the year 6 girls,year 6 boys,year 5 girls,year 5 boys,year 4 girls,year 4 boys,year 3 girls and the lucky last year 3 boys.lots of people were cheering for there buddy friends and kids.

lastly after the Fun run people were so tired.We were doing this fun run for the 1st,2nd and 3rd student can go to the school zone and represent May Road School.The 1st,2nd and 3rd student might come 1st,2nd or 3rd.

Tongan language week

Last  week we had Tongan language week.We worked very hard to get the best Tongan language week.Every morning we go up to the speaker and sing the Tongan national anthem and the Tongan prayer.On lunch times we all meet in the hall so that we can go over our Tongan action that we are going to perform in front of the people.On Friday we performed well.Thank you to our Tongan teacher Mrs Tuipolotu for helping us be a good person to represent Tongan and that we Remember that we are Tongan.After the performance and everything we had a big Tongan feast with the parents and the kids who participated in the Tongan language week.Here is a short slide for some words you might want to learn if you are not Tongan.

Different kind of patterns.

Today for maths we are learning about patterns.Patterns go over and over again the name for over  is repetition.Our teacher said that their is a new word for something for the patterns.The name for it is called Al.What do you think comes next after those patterns.
